Ellen Masters
Ellen Masters grew up on a ranch in New Mexico where she developed
a love for nature and old structures. She explains that an old
barn or a tumbled down fence is a beautiful sight.
Ellen loved to draw as a child but her first opportunity at formal
training was in 1970 when she took a basic drawing class. While
her two children were small she completed the Home Study Art Instruction
Course and took art classes through adult education programs.
She has also devoted countless hours to practice. She now teaches
drawing and watercolor. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience
with others. Although she has learned to paint with all media,
watercolor predominates. She feels watercolor is a challenge that
could take several lifetimes to master.
Inspiration for a new painting is close at hand. For beauty is
everywhere in Gods world. The light and colors are constantly
changing along with the seasons. What a pleasure to take the time
to be aware on ones surroundings and then commit it to paper.
Then memories are preserved.
